Friday recap

Productive Friday.

I went to the bank, went to the post office, mailed Pam a money order for the painting, which should be delivered by mid-week.

Went to FP and signed up for the dental hygiene program (finally on the list!!) This ordeal/effort to get on the list has been going on since July and has been a huge source of frustration.  I would be naive to think that paper shufflers/red tape/hoops to jump/general bureaucracy would allow for smooth sailing.  I was told that2014 was full, but I was mid-list for 2015.  So now I know.  And it feels really good.  I have had extreme anxiety over not knowing if I was going to matriculate this coming fall or next and the financial obligations that are going to come with it, how much longer I need to remain unhappy with my jerk-co-worker,  uncertainties with trips/vacations and planning that, even tough it is far in the future and I shouldn't get worked up and crazy over things I cannot change or control.  They accepted all my transfer classes and there is only one class I need....sociology.  So I will probably sign up for that for spring.  It's only going to cost ~$5100 for tuition for the whole program, which I have over half of that saved up already.

Ok, so back to vacation, my sister wants to go to Iceland, this summer, which would be sweet, and I do want to go to Iceland, but there are other things I want to do first.  Also, I have been talking about Pacific-Atlantic bike trip for----eight years.  And I've always put if off for reasons that, at the end of the day shouldn't matter, but do.  But if I know I'm going to start school in August 2015 for a two-year program that will require me to quit my job, then I will quit my job in May and go on the trip then.  I will have to decide if I want to join a guided tour, which I have seen several offered, including a women-only group.  Or I could ask Rootbeer or Will to go.  I will hit them up in the spring, when there is a one-year notice to make plans.

Then there is the choice of which route to take...Southern, Northern, or Trans (mid).  Southern would be nice in that we could leave earlier in the year.  It is also the shortest and we'd be done in less that 2 months. I'm not looking to rush, though.  I'd love to go on day trips hiking or rafting or spelunking if those type of activities were available.

I could make myself crazy with all these far-off future plans.  I need to chill out.  There is a calmness, though, since I know, and it feels really nice.

OK, back to awesome Friday.  My folks were out of town and asked me to come over to babysit my brother and the dog.  So I went back to IL and the dog and I went hiking at Salt Lick.  Encountered five others on the trail.  The fall foliage was gorgeous, the air was crisp but I got sweaty under my jacket from all the climbing.  Wiener dog loved it!!!  So much for him to smell.  He led the way on leash, and it was cool to see him stay on the trail.  He knew exactly where to go even though it was all covered with leaves.  It was also fun to see him climb up the "steps" to the scenic overlook.  I took a lot of pictures and sent some to my sister.  She commented that the dog is definitely one of us....athletic and strong and adventurous.  Totally belongs with our family.  We were on the trail for 80 minutes.

Got back home and made some dinner and then got to work on a paper that is due for my class this semester.  Knocked out all 8 pages in about 6 hours.  It felt good to get it done.  It's not due until the 20th, but the instructor said we could turn it in early for an extra 5 points and also that she could give us some feedback and we could make some changes if needed.

I took a break in the middle of writing the paper to send a private message to the Jew-ISH Adonis in Los Angeles.  "I just want you to know that I banged myself out this morning with that new red vibrator, and there were two things that got me totally going.  One was thinking about making out in the street outside the bar in San Diego and when I felt that magnificent cock bulging through your white captain pants.  The second was watching you take your shirt off and seeing your strong hairy chest and feeling it pressed up against me."

The reply, a minute later, "You have a habit of giving me a semi at work :-P"

I love it.
