Saw Dr. Fissel on Tuesday and had new xrays taken. It's a broken radial head and broken humerus, as well as a dislocated elbow. He said the set at the ER last Thursday was a good job and was still stable. Doesn't think I'll need surgery. Just lots of therapy to get the range of motion back. He said I'll probably never be able to straighten my arm out again.
I've been documenting the bruising each day. Today I went to Dr. Fissel's office and they removed the plaster cast. I was grateful b/c the padding was starting to rub in my ditch and I had a raw spot. The nurse took a photo of the bruising, and all I can say is, it's pretty horrific. I'm not cleared for work yet, so I'm going up to Chi tomorrow to hang out until Roy and I leave for our East Coast Adventure.
