Greetings from the States! I've been having an awesome time running around in Costa Rica with long-time family friends. I'm back home but am going to time stamp all these blogs for the day that everything happened.
I flew to Miami, had a 90 min layover that turned into a 140min layover, then flew into San Jose. I'm glad I made it safely. Took a cab to the hotel just in time to catch the shuttle to the coast/our rental house.
There was a lot of traffic/jams on the highway, so our driver took the back roads. READ: switchbacks through the mountains on a two lane road with no guard rails and straight drop offs, and foggy conditions. A dang roller coaster ride! Everyone else was super freaked out, but John and I enjoyed it. The ride lasted about two hours. The scenery was beautiful!
We got to our house and it was so bitch. The place was huge, just the living room/kitchen was as big as my whole house here. There were actually two houses. The main house, which had three beds, three full baths and one half bath, and the guest house, which had two beds, two full baths, and a kitchen/dining room. There was a car port in the front, and in the back, we had a nice covered patio, a two-story in-ground pool with waterfall, an open air, upstairs patio, and a little strip of backyard with palm tress and hammocks. We were also beach front. The ocean was ~25 yards away.
Debbie had hired a private chef to cook dinner for us each night. His name was Juan Karlos, and he was an absolute delight! He made traditional Tico food for us. All veg for me, and meat dishes for everyone else.
Oh, yeah. In Miami, I went to currency exchange and traded US dollars for CR Colones. The exchange rate was ~$1US = 450 Colones. The 5000 Colones notes are yellow and have a picture of a monkey. The 10,000 are green and have a Puma. There are also 1000 (blue) and 2000 (pink) Colones notes.
This is me in our "backyard":
This field was across the road from our rental house. I addition to the horses and cows grazing, there were egrets, herons, and other birds, and CAIMANS!

"We don't talk much, but the sex is great"
Yesterday, I did something for the first time. I didn't realize it at the time-- that I had never done this, and I was kinda surprised that I hadn't. I had sex in a swimming pool. It blows my mind that this has never happened, especially since I logged in so many hours in high school and college in the water.
Last night was TTK at Firebird. I was super excited about them coming here. They haven't played here since '11, and I had not seen them here since '05 or '06, but I had seen them several times in San Diego, Gainesville, and Chicago since then. There was not a lot of people there, which is super unfortunate. Seeing them in sold out venues in Chicago or at Fest with 1000 crazy fans, then here tonight to maybe 80 people was disappointing. The set was super short, too.
That is not to say that I didn't have a nice time at the show, because I did. I love Todd C. I love watching J beat those drums. I love watching ChaChi stoned out rockin his bass. Usual suspects were all in attendance. I had the foresight to take off work this morning. Show was over by 11:45am.
I did play Ms. Pac Man with Todd C. I saw him putting quarters into the dual machine (MsPM and Galaga) and asked which one he was going to play. He said MsPM and asked if I wanted in as player 2. So I put 2 quarters in and lost extremely badly. But I already know that I am not very good at the game...
After the show, I wanted to buy a sweet hoodie, but there was not my size, so I bought the new split with Future Virgins and the new LP, which I have listened to a lot online.
Also after the show, I was thinking of hitting up the Ballroom, but I didn't want to get super smokey and have to wash my hair again. And I was super hungry, so I went home and made some popcorn on the stove. Then I received a text from Matthew. Over the course of ten minutes, we exchanged several messages, culminating in him asking me if I wanted to fuck in the pool. No one else was at home except for Tim, and he was already passed out. So, of course, I drove over.
Matthew was chilling in the backyard, drinking beer and smoking Pall Mall in the blue box, listening to Superchunk, admiring the poolwater by citrinal candle light! The water was pretty chilly. At least for the toe dip. We joked about this. I was wearing a skirt and got in up to my thighs. We kinda splashed each other and talked for a bit. Then he took off his shirt and pants and climbed in. He was up to his thighs, too, but the water was chilly again as it neared his balls. Finally, he just dipped them right in. Next step: chilly up to the nips. Then he just submerged himself. I took off my skirt, panties, and shirt. Kept the bra on, and also finally made it in up to my neck. The water was cold, the air temps were mild, and I was shivering in no time! So we got close for body heat and started kissing each other. He took my bra off and my breasts were so buoyant! They were glorious!
We ended up fucking in the pool, in the "shallow end." It worked best with him sitting up against the ledge and me in the water facing him. It was kind rough going at first because the water in not ideal lubricant compared to what my own pussy is capable of producing. But everything turned out fine, like it always does.
Now, for the climax. I came four times. Each time, there was a little warm wave. It was funny.
I really liked being out there in the backyard by ourselves like that. The water was sloshing everywhere, by breasts were floating in the water, perky and hard. I was actually quite mesmerized by them floating like that. And all day I haven't been able to stop thinking about how they felt in the water.
After we were finished, we toweled off and went in the house. I ended up sleeping over, it was maybe 2:45am, but we didn't fool around any more. I like sleeping next to Matthew, because he doesn't touch me. He just goes to sleep on his side, and I go to sleep on my side, and it's perfect. He also is usually so sedated that he just passes the fuck out solid. No moving around, no twitching, no disruptions.
I can't wait to do this for the second time.
Also, they played this last night, second to last. This is one of my favorites of all time:

July 4th weekend recap
Another bender comes to an end. I have had five consecutive days off. I just woke up from sleeping for 14 hours, and damn, does it feel good to not feel like I wanna die. My body is completely void of any stress or mental anguish that was there just five days ago.
Friday night was 'party of the century' at the cove, although every party hosted there is 'party of the century.' Out of town bands included NC&TBDB and Rational Anthem.
Haddonfields started things off, and their set was excellent as usual. All friends in attendance, knew all the words, and sang along. No one was too drunk to play.
Rational Anthem were excellent, had not seen them perform since D4th of July 2011. Big Time wanted me to hook up with the drummer (not happening!) since he was the tallest guy in the room and I was the tallest girl and third tallest person at the whole party! haha!
Jungle Fire played next. They are not my taste, but the living room was packed with friends watching the set.
Nato was excellent as usual. Travis was in the front, fired up and singing along, with a lamp shade on his head. Too bad he knocked up his total lamesauce girlfriend. Sam is single now, so he was in party mode, which is fucking sweet.
Chill Dawgs were last, everyone was wasted, I was not wasted enough. I could not watch. I sat in the kitchen eating Frito's and drinking Cherry Coke and talking with the merch guy from R/A. Bought the newest record. Super handy, especially since my iPOD is MIA for nearly a month now.
I left the party at about 230am and was glad to go home and pass out.
On Saturday, I kinda wanted to die. I was suuuuper dehydrated and hungry. Went on an everquest to get delicious/nutritious food. Everest Cafe was closed, found this out AFTER I put $1 in the parking meter. Went to get some soup at one of my favorite cafes, but they didn't have soup that day! Sam got at me about food, so I drove to the cove to pick him up and drove down to Cherokee for tortas (me) and linga tacos (him). He was going to go the fair with the guys, so I dropped him off back at the cove and I went home to take a nap.
On Saturday night, the show was at Firehouse in Normal. It was NC&TBDB, Chill Dawgs, Hospital Job, and Copyrights. A solid line-up all around. Sam asked if I wanted company on the drive up, and I said "Sure!" So he waited on the porch for me to come pick him up at the cove and everyone else left, maybe twenty minutes prior to when I arrived to pick him up. When he got in the car, he told me that he and Nato had made a bet about who could get there first. Nato failed to realize that I have Illinois tags, and he never had a chance of winning this bet!!! We initially started 20 minutes behind because I went to the bank and the gas station prior to picking up Sam, so we could leave right away!! We kept our eyes peeled for the van, never saw it, but we did beat them by 20 minutes!! We were toying with them, too. When were were on mile marker 75, we texted them asking what mile marker they were on and that we were forever leaving STL because I took so long to finally pick Sam up. Nato responded like ten minutes later that they were on 38!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Again, he failed to realize that I have Illinois tags! We even stopped at a rest stop to have a piss and change of clothes. When we rolled into Normal, we went to the liquor store to get smokes, then I took Sam's picture outside of the venue, and we texted it to Nato that he had lost! When the van finally arrived, Lars told me that he had seen me pass them, but we never saw the van!
Ok, so back to the show. Excellent line up, all the bands were solid. Dawgs were first, which was good because they weren't too drunk to play their instruments. It was still pretty bad, though. But it is also pretty bad enough that it is also super awesome. HoJo was next, and they were great. Lots of young Springfield fans out and singing along near the front. Nato was next and the set was excellent as expected. A LOT of people seemed to be there for them and singing along in the front. Nato is such a showman! Copyrights were last, and their set was also excellent and tight as expected, but not a lot of people were there. It was kinda way late, too. But I enjoyed the set and was down in the front singing along to all the songs, alongside Sam and Lars and others. After the show, everyone hung out at the bar for a bit. Sam was asking for shots, Zack was pouring shots, I was politely declining, because I had to drive the car! AND THANK GOD!
DUI check point!!! I was fine to drive, I had maybe 5 beers over the course of the whole evening and had stopped when the Copyrights started and also had some water. Plus, my passenger was BOMBED!!! In fact, the next morning, he did not even remember being stopped at the check point -or being issued a ticket for seat belt violation!! In fact, the next morning, Sam was so hungover that he didn't even want to drink water he was so nauseous. When we were kicked out of the hotel at 12:30pm, we went back to the venue and ended up going to a coffee shop across the street so I could get tofu scramble. Sam ordered a pancacke and two eggs (over easy. effing gross.). Coffee, milk, OJ, and two waters. He was able to hold it down, which was a miracle. I wasn't hungover in that I didn't feel sick, I was just exhausted and dehydrated. It was hot as balls outside, and there was a street-long art fair going on with vendors in tents. We walked around to check out the wares. I ended up buying a badass stained glass piece from a dude from Milwaukee. I have been looking for stained glass for my new house, and was super excited on this find. We also found two girls who made necklacks, rings, cuff links, and pins out of bottle caps. Like the bottle cap is the base. Then they have quirky pictures and seal it off with a nice translucent resin. Very well made. I purchased my familiar, a wicked witch of the west pin for my bag, Sam bought a weightlifter pin. The character had a handle bar mustache and was wearing the little speedo and boots. His was bedazzled, too! There was a lot of cool paintings and photos and crafts for sale. The paintings were out of my price range. Plus, I bought the painting from Brett, two from Bookmate, and then with my own prints of photos I have taken and the Mateo print I bought in Berlin, I'm kinda set on artwork. Like, I don't need some huge centerpiece painting.
After the art fare, Sam and I slept in the car in the parking lot, in the shade, with the AC on for about an hour, then I took him to the house to meet up with the others. They were leaving soon to play in Madison. I was on the fence if I was going to drive to Chicago. Made sense since I was already 165miles north, but Book was on a moto trip and I was pretty excited to just drive back home to STL. Got in at like 8pm last night and went straight to bed.
All said and done, and excellent weekend.
Here's a pic of Sam showcasing the stained glass piece that was purchased at the fair:

Can you keep a secret?
SO, my boss told me a secret, and I'm pretty upset about it. One of the girls at work is going to get fired, but that is not going to happen until I get back from my vacation in two weeks. I was told this because my boss has been working with the girl on a project and getting her up to speed on certain things at the office, but it is just not clicking, and my boss wants me to take over/not waste her [boss's] time with this girl since she is going to be let go.
I am upset about this because I like this girl. She is sweet, great with the patients, and reliable. I will agree, that she is too "blonde" sometimes, and in the past few weeks had made a few significant/bonehead errors. I know that she is nervous and anxious about these errors, as well as her job security in general, especially since we recently rehired a girl who quit last year to work closer to home.
I am upset because I have ranted before about how bored I am at work now that there are three assistants, and how I had wanted to use the fact that there were only two of us as reason to ask for a raise but then I felt like I couldn't since we hired a third, but I definitely did not want this to be the outcome.
In the end, we all agree that the girl is kind and sweet and reliable, and good with the patients, but certain....necessities, with the computer charting and things like that are just never going to click. And it sucks that in this day and age, the it comes down to some one losing her job because she doesn't excel at learning the technology.
I am also upset because I really don't want to work with Heather again. I feel taken advantage of, time-wise. She is also kind of a mega-cunt 85% of the time.
I get into this mode where I am SUPER loyal to my job, even though it might not be in my best interest. Yes, I can look for another job, most likely get one closer to home. I still debating going to school for dental hygiene. While I do love being an assistant, I am waaaaay to skilled to make $30K. Also, if I was a hygienist, I wouldn't have to play office politics. I would work out of my own room and be accountable for my own patients/charting/instruments/etc.
Fuuuuuck.
All day I have been helping this girl extra with little hints and whatnot in hopes that maybe she can turn things around. If it does happen, though, I hope I'm not there when in does. I'm probably going to cry, too.

Come on, Big Money!
Greetings, loyal reader!
My sister and I tried out for Wheel of Fortune on Saturday at the casino. We did not get our named drawn in the lotto to come up on stage, but we still had a lot of fun. My sister was a little nervous, and at one time, another person named "Sally" was called, and before we heard the last name, my sister was like, "Oh, shit!"
I did get my photo taken with a Pat Sajak cut-out, though.
