My second outing to Salt Lick today, first time there with minimal foliage, I'm sure its even more gorgeous in winter after a snow! There has not been a lot of rain, and the Johnson Trail, which was closed due to flooding last time, was open today. So I took the Johnson Trail north along the bottom of the bluff, then circled around to the scenic overlook, and came down the Salt Lick Trail on the south.
Very windy today; I did not stand at the edge of the scenic overlook, but there was still lots of great photos that resulted from the hike today! I saw four different species of berry, some wildflowers, a busy bee, and the visibility today was remarkable and I could see downtown STL ~20 miles to the north!
