The great make out mystery of 2004: case closed!

Went to MPLS for sweet bday celebrations. I love that city more and more each time I visit. I came home and actually looked up info for nursing schools in the area.

I had a direct flight on Saturday. Took the light rail into the city and JT met met at the station. We walked to a liquor store then checked in to a hotel.

We hung out all afternoon drinking whisky, socializing at Grumpy's, then went to the show at Triple Rock. It was a good time. I watched Arrivals and the last half of the Soviettes set.

I was pretty shithammered on V.O., and was in the front room talking with people and forgot about the bands in the show room. I got whisky drunk and was puking until about 4pm the next day. It was brutal. I went to Hard Times and got some biscuits and gravy, and ordered some veg pizza later. Went to Grumpy's to meet up with people for more bday celebrations. JT was incredibly drunk and incoherent. He kinda pissed me off, actually, but I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to visit.

JT has purchased some Viagra at la farmicia in Mexico recently, and he took half of it. When we got back to the hotel, his boner was freaking huge. We banged out for a long time. It has to be some kind of record for him because he's not very patient, rushes a lot. Sometimes he gets rough, almost too rough for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I also got him to slow down, had him just lay back and enjoy it.

Next day we both had to fly out in the afternoon. Took a car to the airport and parted ways. The sun was out and it was a relatively nice day.

I don't feel guilty about hooking up with JT on this trip even though I have been casually seeing some one in STL, because I have been CAUSALLY seeing some one in STL. It's almost too casual. If I was really important to him, he'd claim me. But he hasn't, so it's game on.

This is so funny to me:

I saw Dave at the Triple Rock, and learned that on this particular night, this mystery was finally solved:

So back in 2004 Rivethead and OWTH went on tour together, and Curt Perry was the roadie. They had a show at the Cross in Carbondale, and I was in attendance and got blackout drunk and made out with some one from MPLS. For years, I did not know who it was, but I knew it was only kissing, and I knew his name started with a hard C sound.

I woke up the morning after the show on a cat piss-soaked couch on a porch on Cherry Street, colder than I have ever been in my entire life, and to my knowledge never saw the guy again.

From retelling this story Dave said that Curt was nowhere to be found after the show or the next morning. The bands (at least Dave, from retelling this story) could not find him, and nearly left him because they had to get back on the road, and this was before anyone had a cell phone. No one had been to Carbondale before, either.

They ended up finding Curt wandering around the neighborhood trying to find the house where the bands had stayed. And the girl from the make out (yours truly!) has remained a mystery (to Dave, and most likey everyone else) until this weekend.

I had told Zack about when I saw him at a show back in MPLS in 2008. I asked him who the roadie was, a name with a hard C, and he told me, but I don't think he put two and two together.

So the case is considered closed! HAHAHAHA! Dave told me that I picked a winner that night, in Curt. I hope the same could be said that Curt picked a winner that night, too. HAHAHA!

Other highlights of most recent MPLS trip:

Also, I saw Sam at the Triple Rock. Its always a pleasure. He asked me why I didn't let him know that I was coming to town. I said that I wasn't into guys who had girlfriends. He told me that he didn't have a girlfriend (anymore).

I saw Paddy at (NE) Grumpy's and he was pretty intoxicated and he shook my hand and said, "You're Roy's friend!" As he shook my hand, the back of his hand lightly brushed against one of my breasts. He just froze and said, "My hand just touched your boob." And then a deadpan, "That was awesome!" Smiled and walked away.

This is funny to me because I can picture Roy having the same reaction and same look on his face in the same situation. I guess those 90s Evanston kids are all cut from the same cloth! HAHA!

2011 recap

Things have been going so well! I have been busy busy busy with work, school, hangouts with friends, trips out of town, that I haven't really had a chance to recap 2011, which was, hands down, the best year of my adult life so far. Returning to STL was by far the best choice. I am happy here, but I am still on track to achieve perpetual summertime.

2011 +

30th bday celebrations with Chicago friends, then trip to Vegas with Karen for OWTH

Road trip to Louisville with Chi party animals and all around great friends for Krazy Fest.

Crazy party weekend in Chi for Marked Men Memorial Day weekend.

Bought a racing bike. It is a male frame, but I refer to her in the female, and her name is "Ex-Girlfriend."

July 4th party weekend in MPLS. Including pedaling around the city, swimming in lakes with Sam, drinking in private under bridges, awesome shows, delicious veg food.

THE GREAT EAST COAST ADVENTURE! Susan and Roy visit friends and family in DC, Philly, and NYC.

San Diego for AFV. I think I'm in love! Perpetual summertime, you will be mine!

Fest X. Nothing more needs to be said. Before I left to go to the airport, I told the other office girls, "If I die in the streets of Gainesville, I want you all to know that I was happy and I regret nothing!" HAHAHAHAHA!

Cincinnati for a cray NYE show at Southgate House. I pray there is not footage/pics of me dancing and singing like an idiot up by the stage posted online somewhere. I woke up beer-soaked, bruised, and my glasses gone. And I wouldn't have had it any other way.

2011 -

Two minor anxiety attacks in the summer. But I got over it. And I GOT OVER IT!!

Wrecked on Ex-Girlfriend on Thursday, August 8th. Dislocated elbow and two broken arm bones. Was in a crazy bionic arm brace for 8 weeks, gnarly bruises, but I'm all healed.

2012 has already started off with a bang.

On the drive home to STL, stopped in Louisville and got delicious vegan brunch buffet, went to see a great show at Firebird, hooked up with Lars.

Have hung out with Lars a few times since. Its nice.

And I have things to which I am already looking forward:

Going to MPLS this coming weekend (because I'm crazy!) for a sweet 30th birthday celebration.

Then I'm going to PDX for an animation showcase and to visit a new city and meet up with old friends.

Then I plan on going to Chi for my bday.

I have also been lifting and training a lot. I am going to start racing when the season opens in March. Will go sign up at the shop after work on Tuesday.

It's exactly what you think it is, and I'm having a blast!

My co-worker brought this gift in for me last week. I love it. I have already played it twice. Once with Granny Panties, and once with my dad. It's totally awesome.

I do a lot of dead lifts

So bruise from NYE has progressed to this after five days:

It's really tender, but surprisingly firm to touch. I have no idea how this happened, but it could be from the edge of a monitor when I was crowd surfing during Dopamines.

Librarian F-Bomb is back in business!

I have been processing the awesome-ness that has unfolded over the New Year's Eve celebration. I decided to go to the party at Southgate House. I will consider this my first time in Cincinnati since I had previously only been there for a swim meet (more on this later!)

I rolled into town and went to Melt and got a delicious sandwich. It was in a neighborhood called Northside. It was pretty awesome, seemed like a young/hip area with lots of cool shops. Cincinnati was kinda old-looking and run down. Lots of old buildings, interesting bridges. I didn't realize that it was so nestled in a valley. There was lots of hills.

I had made a reservation at a hotel across from the venue, in Newport, Kentucky. It was night and day. Newport was really built up and seemed yuppie-ish. I'm not complaining. I went to get a pizza, and right across the street was The Gambling Museum! I was so excited! It was closed, of course, but I had my picture taken in front.

I got my pizza and went back to my room...I was in hog heaven in that room all by myself, drinking Stag beer I brought with me in a cooler, eating pizza, and watching TV. I daresay I thought for a moment that I might not have made it to the show! I showered, got into waaaay tight pants and cute sweater because I knew that a boy who had recently burned me would be there with his new girlfriend.

I headed over to the Southgate House. It was an awesome venue. Literally a giant old house, with the upstairs room for shows, the downstairs room for shows, and the downstairs/back area set up for shows. It was the largest area, complete with balcony. Total cap was 750 and the show was sold out. There was a historical point of interest sign out front, that the inventor of the tommy gun was born here, and the venue had a featured shot called the tommy gun. It was a shot of Jameson with a pickle juice chaser. Gross! I def did not indulge.

So I went to the show, and of course the people who got into line behind me were the guy who had recently burned me and his new girlfriend. Good thing I had painted those pants on my ass and my booty was lookin' bangin'.

First people I saw inside were Jess, Dr. B, and Simon, and Amy. I got there a little late...prob 10 or so, went to watch Vacation in the ballroom. Up next was a shitty electronic/rock band. I was pretty much there just for Dear Landlord and Dopamines, who were the next two up. When Dear Landlord started, the crowd was not moving around at all, and I was getting pissed at the crowd. Whipfler came charging into the pit. A few people started moving around. At midnight, halfway through their set, everyone paused for the countdown. Whipfler and Wiener had blown up about 1300 balloons and all of those were released. There was also an entire flatbed of toilet paper, silly string, and a bubble machine. It was a lot of fun! Dear Landlord went right into a cover of 'Knowledge' and the whole place went nutzoid!! The whole energy level increased 100%!

After Dear Landlord, Dopamines were up. They were great! Lots of crazy funny banter as usual. At one point during the set, Whipfler was running around on stage with his pants down. Earlier in the day when they were blowing up balloons, Weiner told his boss to tell the security guys to chill out tonight because there was going to be some shit going down. Like lots of nudity. Male nudity. Tons of dudes running around with no clothes. So anyway, when Dave was up on stage, one of the bouncers was holding him back, yelling "No nudity! No nudity!" So Dave pulled up his pants and dove off the stage. I was about fifteen feet away, and I saw in slow motion, Dave take flight, like Macho Man Randy Savage off the top ropes, one elbow bent and ready to deliver a blow, and then...he just disappeared!! Everyone got out of the way and Dave landed on the floor! Hahahahahahahaha!

Another memorable moment from the show was when two dudes crept up behind Wiener as he was speaking into the mic, and dumped an entire trashcan full of cans, bottles, trash, and trashjuice on his head. I was also standing about fifteen feet away from the front of the stage, and I can still see in my head, the look of utter mortification on his face. He was shaking, in complete horror; I nearly thought he was going to dry heave from the disgust.

I also crowd surfed for the first time. It was pretty sweet. I felt weightless, although I think that is where I got the bruise on my left leg. I was dancing near the stage with some dude named Nick, who was the one who picked me up and threw me up on top of everyone else. I was up for a while.

I also lost my glasses. They are gone! I was kinda bumbed about it because I liked those frames, the lenses were less than a year old, and I didn't want to have to spend more money on large purchases.

After the show was over, I went to buy some merch from Vacation and to get a screened poster from the show. I met up outside with Dr. B, Jess, and Simon. We went to buy some beer, then Simon and I headed to the hotel to party with some other people who came over. This kid Kyle was a lot younger than I would have guesses...21. He told me that he used to be on the swim team at St. X. Small world...I told him that I was also on swim team and our team used to go to a meet at St. X every summer. Simon, Kyle, and I stayed up drinking and talking, the three other people passed the eff out! Kyle called a cab and took everyone else home at like 4am.

Next day, Dave walked over and he, Simon, and I headed back to STL. We stopped in Louisville on the way home and went to Ramsi's for all-I-can-eat vegan brunch, including biscuits and gravy. Dang near needed a wheelbarrow to roll myself out of there. Sent HNY greetings to Booker and he was jealous!

Back in STL, Dear Landlord was playing at the Firebird. I headed over there at about 9pm, and saw the Haddonfields and DL. There was a surprising amount of people there, including some jackass who didn't stop complaining about his spilt beer. For the last song, he went up to the stage and pretty much knocked Zach out of the way, and started singing the song! This kind of shit always pisses me off, because I like to hear the band sing their own songs, if not, i'd go to karoake, and I fucking hate karaoke! So this kid is a fucking idiot, and everyone there knows it. The set ends with him getting into a fist fight with some one else. As Brett said, "Good job, dude."

Anyway, I enjoyed the DL set. Glad they played 'Last Time I Checked' because that is my favorite. I also always enjoy watching Zach sing, and with this being a smaller club, I had a good view. Its also always a pleasure to see Brad. Seriously, one of my most favorite people to talk to.

After the show, Zack was sitting at the merch table and I said hello and bought the "Ray of Hope" comp that little dude from Worthwhile Way put out. Shit's tight, and there is an unreleased Rivethead song on it.

After the show, there was chatter that people were going to Lemmons. I had a bunch of beer in my trunk, and I don't know what the conversation was, but Lars got in the car with me, and we drove to Lemmons and never even made it into the bar. We stayed in my car in the parking lot, drinking ice cold Busch, listening to the new comp I had just bought. At one point some police rolled by. I also don't know what the conversation was when we left, but I went back to themanor, we put the beer in the fridge, and put on some vinyl. This was def not my intention starting off the New Year, let alone the evening, but Lars and I made out of the couch. Then we banged out on the couch. Then I soaked the couch. I soaked Lars; he seemed to like it. I remeber putting my fat tits in his face and kissing him and saying to him that I knew he had wanted this for a long time. I had seen him looking at me at shows/ parties since last summer.

Then we went upstairs and made out some more in his room. He's more tender than what I was expecting, and I liked it. His body is slender buut not skinny, he has muscle tone, is not overly hairy. Has excellent taste in music and an agreeable personality. He had to leave for work at like 830 and kissed me softly on the lips before heading out. I stayed and slept until about 1130, got burritos on the way home. Was totally exhausted. Also still needed glasses. Got some new frames. They are totally cute, an intense color of purple that really brings out the blue in my eyes.

Lars texted me later that afternoon, I asked him how he got my number because I didn't remember that I had given it to him. And I hadn't! He asked Nighthawk for it, which I think is fucking hillarious because at the show, I think that Nighthawk wanted to hook up with me...."What are you doing later?"

I wasn't plannning on it, but I was making out with Lars! Hahaha! I had actually written my number down on a receipt for Lars before I left because I want to hang out again. I'm comfortaable, but def don't want to rush in to anything. We're going to hang out this weekend. I'm excited because I knows Lars rides, and he also would be interested in floating, and other outdoor stuff that I am also interest in doing!

Veg Pizza + gambling museum + alone in a hotel =

I'm in hog heaven in Newport, KY!!!

Now, when does that casino Lewis was telling me about finally open? Road trip?

note: I think its bogus that admission in a flat $5. Being the GAMBLING MUSEUM, patrons should roll the bones and pay whatever the value on the die. Just my suggestion.
